The Mahina Cardigan uses a unique customised sizing method based on your bicep and shoulder measure. See sizing chart below.

The Mahina Cardigan combines simple geometric shapes, a unique customizable fit system, and thoughtful shaping to create a versatile draping cardigan that can be elegant enough to wear as a wrap to a wedding, or casual enough for weekend errands.

Choose from four base shapes (View A Small Circle, View B Medium Circle, Veiw C Large Circle, and View D Oval), and match them to sleeve patterns based on your bicep measurements, and shaping darts customised to your shoulder width.

Pick between cuff bands or hemmed sleeves, and then select one of four edge finish options (raw, bound, faced or lace-edged), and wear your cardigan loose, or pinned closed with a brooch, for almost limitless fit and finish options.

Recommended Fabrics:

Knit fabrics with 25-40% stretch across the width and attractive finishes on both the right and wrong sides of the fabric. Lightweight knits will make a limp, clinging cardigan, heavier knits will create a more structured, sculptural garment.

The cardigans can be finished with binding made from lightweight knit fabric, bias facing made from woven bias tape, or cotton lace.

The Models:

Priscilla is wearing View A, with a 12" bicep and 14" shoulders. Her Mahina Cardigan is made up in black & white rose patterned heavyweight boiled wool-viscose blend knit, with bindings in lightweight cotton-spandex knit. Her sleeves are hemmed and have been shortened 2" along the length. She is 5'2"

Leimomi is wearing Views B & C, with a 12" bicep and 14.5" shoulders. Her View B Mahina Cardigan is made up in heavyweight palest pink boiled wool knit, and finished with a cut edge and merino wool sleeve cuffs. Her View C Mahina Cardigan is made up in midweight heathered grey reversing to ivory cotton boucle knit, and is finished with a faced bias tape edge & cotton-elastane cuffs. She is 5'7"

Rose is wearing View D, with a 14.5" bicep and 18" shoulders. Her Mahina Cardigan is made of lightweight cotton-nylon lace knit in ivory, with a cotton lace-edge finish. Her sleeves are hemmed and have been shortened 2" along the length. She is 5'4"
